Mathematics in the Early Years : Numbers 1 - 100

This session gives an introduction to the philosophy and research-based justification of the approach, and provides an overview of the methodologies used. Although the examples given relate to English Language Teaching, the philosophy and approaches are developmentally appropriate for programmes in all languages. Lower Primary (G1 - 4) teachers will also find this useful.

This is one of our Methodology Philosophy and Practice seminars - please click here for more information on our seminars programme. This session is especially useful for teachers in experiential programmes such as Cambridge International, High Scope, IB, Montessori and Reggio.

Follow-up Methodology seminars (we strongly recommend you take the introductory Philosophy and Practice seminar before taking any of these) :

  • Plug-and-play, tried and true activities for teaching numbers 1 - 31
  • Plug-and-play, tried and true activities for teaching numbers 1 - 60
