Lesson Planning for the Early Years English teacher

Early Years (PK - K) have three areas to include in any plan, with English teachers having also to overlay language acquisition and development. This session considers how to manage both aspects when planning, and although this seminar deals with English Language Teaching, the philosophy and approaches are developmentally appropriate for programmes in other languages and immersion programmes. Lower Primary (G1 - 4) teachers will also find this useful.

Effective lesson planning comes from (a) a clear philosophy of Teaching and Learning (b) clear objectives and (c) an organised and systematic approach. This seminar reviews an effective and developmentally appropriate model used in a school which went on to receive national accreditation, become one of the best schools at state level and the best at a national level in one of its language programmes while two others received international recognitions.

This is one of our Philosophy and Practice seminars - please click here for more information on our seminars programme. A C1 or higher level of English is assumed.

This session is especially useful for teachers in experiential programmes such as Cambridge International, High Scope, IB, Montessori and Reggio. Ask us about other programme and methodology coaching and short courses for Early Years and the Lower Primary (G1 - 4, 1º ciclo) level.
