We present five short poems which can be used with the G12 / 4ºM topic. "The media and the message in today’s globalised world". Each can be viewed as single literary works, sources for language acquisition and development or prompts for further exploration and discussion of the points raised.
This session presents the five texts with a brief review of how they have successfully been used at this level in the past. Should you find them appropriate for you, your programme and your students, we recommend following up this session with further sessions on each work.
For students, teachers and those interested in poetry and literature. Click on the links below for more information on each.
- "Eating Noddemix" by Young Marble Giants
- Girl Reporter - Philip Hobsbaum
- Gutter Press - Paul Dehn

Each part is stand-alone and can be taken separately, however we recommend Part A before Part B.
- A = Knowledge and Understanding of the work - especially useful for EFL and Chilean National Curriculum programmes
- B = Response to and Analysis of the work
- C1 = Evaluation activities typical of external examinations
- C2 = Practice and feedback
