Planning, Assessing and Evaluating Oral Activities and Oral Coursework

 


What is "speaking"? Why teach speaking and when and how? How to evaluate speaking? If you have questions, we can help. Keep reading.

The models and activities presented are tried-and-true, highly effective, student-centred and teacher-friendly, and also appropriate for and/or have been used in Cambridge and IB programmes. For EFL language teachers and teachers in E2L, E1L and bilingual Language, Literature and Lang&Lit programmes. Although these sessions are delivered in English, the Philosophy and Practice is appropriate for use in other language classes.

These single-topic sessions are available as stand-alone or as "mix and match". Ask us about coaching, and programme design and implementation support. Sessions marked * have additional follow-up evaluation training sesions available using model descriptors and audio/video recordings.

Speaking programmes should parallel Writing programmes. Ask us about our Writing Philosophy and Practice support.
