From a young age, the Early Years (or PK - K), children are well aware of things in parts, also known as "fractions", and teachers should take advantage of this awareness to further develop these essential concepts of number relationships.
This is one of our Cambridge Primary seminars for teachers in, or seeking to join, a Cambridge Primary Programme school. An awareness of the Cambridge Pathway and its underpinning approaches is assumed. We strongly recommend you take the introductory Active Learning : Mathematics Philosophy and Practice seminar before taking this.
This session is also useful for teachers in experiential programmes such as High Scope, IB, Montessori and Reggio.
These are one-hour online video-conferencing sessions; an in-person, face-to-face option is also available. A C1 or higher level of English is assumed.
