Tabletop Science for the Early Years

Science in the Early Years should not be a subject. For students, Science should be an exploration of the world around them while they develop scientific inquiry and learn how to follow scientific practice. For teachers, Science should be incorporated into daily activities and into the regular classroom. A laboratory and specialist equipment are not required; this science can be done on the top of a table.

This one-hour Philosophy and Practice seminar reviews Science for the Early Years, the developmentally appropriate practice of tabletop science and several quick, easy, effective and teacher-friendly activities. Contents include the place of tabletop science in a developmentally appropriate programme, equipment, planning and set-up, ideas for activities and resources.

This is one of our seminars - please click here for more information on our seminars programme. A C1 or higher level of English is assumed.

This session is especially useful for teachers in experiential programmes such as Cambridge International, High Scope, IB, Montessori and Reggio. Ask us about other programme and methodology coaching and short courses for Early Years and the Lower Primary (G1 - 4, 1º ciclo) level.
