Remember remember
The fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot
Every year on the fifth of November, people all over the world gather to remember democracy, the monarchy, the British system of government and protest with bonfires, fireworks and the burning of effigies. Join us as we explore this curiosity of Britishness.
We cover :
- who was Guy Fawkes?
- what did he do?
- why did he do it?
- what happened next and since?
- democracy, the monarchy and crime-and-punishment
and more. This one-hour session reviews these topic areas with activity ideas; ask us about detailed support.
A C1 or higher level of English is assumed.
This is a one-hour synchronous online interactive seminar; an in-person, face-to-face option is also available.
