Promote English in your school with Armistice Day

At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month
The guns fell silent.

Every year on the eleventh of November, people all over the world gather to remember the end of the Great War in the hope that it will not be repeated. Lest we forget. Join us as we explore this significant date in human history.

We cover :

  • what is Armistice Day, aka Poppy Day?
  • what does it represent?
  • why is it observed?
  • what happened next and since?

and more. This one-hour session reviews these topic areas with activity ideas; ask us about detailed support.

  • A C1 or higher level of English is assumed.

  • This is a one-hour synchronous online interactive seminar; an in-person, face-to-face option is also available.
