Private teacher or institute programmes?

When studying at an Advanced level, students must often decide between a private teacher and lessons or institute lessons. What factors may be important?

Contact us for a copy of our "Private v Institute" flier, where we compare the two side-by-side, or to ask about our Advanced English series, and about programmes and support related to Advanced Use of English. And let us know what you think of the Private v Teacher debate in the Comments below.

    • A C1 or higher level of English is assumed.
    • Contact us to be placed on the interest list for any topic and to receive advance notice of the next open group session.
    • Contact us to ask about private one-to-one or small group closed programmes, or on any other Advanced Use of English concerns you have.
    • Open session group sizes are limited to allow for participation and questions.

    1. Private teachers are always better than an Institute.

    2. I paid an institute $350.000 for CAE preparation and all they did was follow a book. Many students in the group had better level than the "teacher" who could not answer our questions. Never again.

    3. I agree. Institutes charge too much and give too little.
