Practice and Feedback sessions are the ideal accompaniment to our Advanced Use of English and Teaching Methodology seminars, Professional Conversations, Reading / Listening Comprehension, Writing, Speaking and Literature programmes.
Use of English (vocabulary, grammar and usages)
(a) you submit your answers to Use of English exercises or examination practice and preparation exercises
(b) we send you tasks or exercises to complete which you then return.
Then, together with you, we review your exercises or writing for correctness, accuracy, appropriateness and areas for improvement. This support is also ideal for essay and dissertation preparation and pre-submission editing and re-writing.
Teaching Methodology
(a) you raise queries or concerns from our methodology seminars or from your own practice and experience
We discuss your points and provide feedback based on our own experiences. This is very similar to our Critical Friend programme.
Comprehension (reading, listening, viewing)
(a) you submit your answers to Comprehension or examination practice and preparation exercises or
(b) we send you tasks or exercises to complete which you then return.
Then, together with you, we review your answers for correctness, accuracy, appropriateness and areas for improvement.
Writing
(a) you submit your written text or examples of your writing or
(b) we send you tasks or exercises to complete which you then return.
Then, together with you, we review your writing for accuracy, appropriateness and areas for improvement. This support is ideal for essay and dissertation preparation, and pre-submission editing and re-writing.
Speaking
We agree on your priorities such as pronunciation, interview or presentation preparation, general delivery and so on, and we then work through exercises as above.
Literature and Lang&Lit
(a) you submit your answers to textual Understanding, Response, Analysis, Commentary or examination practice and preparation exercises or
(b) we send you tasks or exercises to complete which you then return.
Then, together with you, we review your writing for accuracy, appropriateness and areas for improvement. This can also be Speaking support, for example for Individual Oral Presentations or Oral Commentaries.
