B2 First Paper One - targetted support

The minimum level to become a Chilean national programme English teacher is CEFR-C1, however for many non-English teachers a CEFR-B2 level is enough. The most common evidence of being at this level in Chile is still the Cambridge English B2 First certificate (formerly known as FCE or First Certificate), so if you know someone preparing for this examination, we provide specific support.

Paper One Reading and Use of English, has seven Parts and we offer these one-hour single-session programmes :

  • Paper One overview : overview, examination composition and components, strategies for success, score maximisation, preparation, examination modalities, local re-sellers
  • Part One - Multiple-Choice Cloze
  • Part Two - Open Cloze
  • Part Three - Word Formation
  • Part Four - Key Word Transformations
  • Part Five - Reading Multiple Choice
  • Part Six - Reading Gapped Text
  • Part Seven - Reading Multiple Matching

Prior to each Part One - Seven session, we will send you four activities for you to prepare, we check your responses and we review and discuss any problematic questions and answers. Multiple sessions are available for any Parts you find especially challenging.
