Active Learning : Questioning

Asking questions is a crucial skill for teachers, and is more than just checking for recall. Effective questioning can "can stimulate learning, develop the potential of students to think", clarify ideas, "stir the imagination, and [create an] incentive to act". Join us as we review the role and function of asking questions for learning.

This session is rooted in the Philosophies and Practices of Active Learning and in how Questioning can effectively be used in an Active, student-centred and learning-centred approach.

This session is also useful for teachers in or seeking to join a Cambridge Primary Programme school, and for teachers in experiential programmes such as High Scope, IB, Montessori and Reggio. Ask us about other programme and methodology coaching and about short courses for Early Years and the Lower Primary (G1 - 4 or 1º ciclo) level.
