Promote and Celebrate English in your school with 9 to 5 Day

As teachers, we do work more than just nine to five but that'd be a bit tricky to write a song about. Made famous by the fabulous Dolly Parton, "9 to 5" means a traditional workday starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday inclusive, so of course, 9 to 5 or 9-2-5 or the 25th of September which must be 9-2-5 or Dolly Parton Day.

Join us as we share some fun and egaging ways to to promote and celebrate English. We cover :

  • the song itself
  • vocabulary related to "9 to 5"
  • activities and ideas related to the song
  • activities and ideas related to working for a living
  • how to promote and celebrate English with 9 to 5 Day
    • ideas, activities, resources
    • for Lower Primary (G1 - 4), Upper Primary/Middle School (G5 - 8) and High School (G9 - 12)

and more. This one-hour session provides several activity ideas; ask us about detailed support.
